Three-day camping trip, in groups of 10-14 students
accompanied by 2 English helpers who are outdoor pursuits
experts. The students like these excursions very much.
- During
the camping trips the students have further opportunities
to see the beautiful countryside of the Yorkshire
Dales, sometimes going as far as the North Sea at
Scarborough and the Northumberland coast.

Other
principal events of the course
|

|
1.
Three-day visit to London, either at the beginning, or at
the end of the holiday. The group visiting London consists
of about 15 students with 2 English helpers. Our students
stay in a Youth Hostel in the neighbourhood of London, which
is safer than in the capital, and in the morning they make
the short journey to London by train.

2.
It is necessary to bring a sleeping bag, suitable to the
English summer weather; we provide the mats.
3.
The children like it very much when we sleep outside under
the stars during fine weather. It is a special experience
in the beginning of August when the shooting stars
of the Perciads are visible in the sky which is very dark
because we are far from urban "light pollution".

Clothes/equipment
for the course
We
suggest the students bring: changes of T-shirts, underwear, sweaters,
jeans/trousers, trainers, waterproof boots and jacket, sleeping
bag. We recommend marking all the clothes with the students’ name
or initials if the students wish to use our laundry service. Delicate/wool/non-fast
coloured clothes are not recommended. It is possible to hire tennis
rackets in Pateley Bridge for little cost.
