MIDDLESMOOR for groups to use as their own setting
FOR USE OUTSIDE THE PERIOD June 10th to September 1st

Companies, or groups of any kind such as Ramblers, running clubs or Universities sometimes require a setting that will allow them to meet in pleasant surroundings and work as a group without outside distractions. Companies have used Middlesmoor as a sort of intimate "conference centre" which is more discrete and less fussily interfering than the typical conference centre which is anyway usually too big for certain sorts of activity or meetings.
Some groups such as Rambler or running clubs need to find a place that will charge less than most hotels and Pubs so that they can use their numbers to get a much reduced cost. (Our price is £10 bed and Breakfast for groups.
For the boarding" there are various possibilities.
1. Autonomous. That is to say that you will have only yourselves in the House but you will have the help of someone in the village for cleaning and any other problems that may arise. You would do the cooking amongst yourselves. Alternatively there is good pub food at the Crown pub in Middlesmoor or the Crown at Lofthouse.
2. A lot of groups however want to dedicate as much time as possible to their activity and so will prefer someone else to do the cooking so: This possibility would be very similar to 1 but we would cook for you (either Valentina and Anthony or someone in the village).

" As we have large groups of foreign children in the months June 20 - August 31 the house has all the necessary facilities for welcoming groups.
" The house has a beautiful setting: both with its garden and the village setting. (see photos).
" There are 16 beds available.
" There are 2 kitchens with electric and Aga cookers. (see photo)
" There is a long dining room with a 21 foot table which doubles up as work space!
" There is a small indoor swimming pool which when covered with planks becomes a lesson room studio. .
" There are 3 shower rooms. Each with lavatory and basins.
" There is a further single lavatory and basin (see photos)
